2009-2010 Booster Board
Booster News and Information
Kindly allow us to introduce the 2009-2010 Band Booster Board:

President: Sylvester Taylor
Vice-President: Pam Austin
Treasurer: Lisa Ramey
Secretary: Will be disclosed forthwith

Please, also, welcome back our Director, Jeffery West to the 2009-2010 school year.

Prior successes for our band would not have occurred without the support of Band Booster Parents. In an ever sliding economy, however, there are indeed, tough times ahead for this organization and many difficult financial decisions will have to be made. Of immediate concern is the fact that we are in need of new Suzaphones(Tubas) and new uniforms.

Let's, however, revisit the accomplishments of the past year, briefly: The lettering on our equipment trailer looks awesome, this summer's Band Camp at Kennedy Middle School was a success (and at a cost reduction from the prior year), and our website has been updated. As a collective and cohesive group, it is important that we stop and acknowledge our accomplishments. Our successes are all solid proof that if we continue to work hard together, we will continue to accomplish our goals.

Parental support is not only important, but essential to the growth of our Band. To that end, we welcome any positive comments, thoughts or suggestions.

We look forward to the 2009-2010 School Year. Again, we appreciate any assistance you might be able to lend be it for our season, or simply for an evening.

Sincerely,

/S/

Lake Shore Band Boosters, work for and support, the efforts and programs of the Lake Shore Music Departments: including Kennedy Middle School Bands, Lake Shore High School Bands, Kennedy and the High School Winter Guard, that competes in the Michigan Color Guard Circuit, and the High School Color Guard.

The Boosters fundraise for competitions, assist in the City's Memorial Day Parade, move, arrange and repair both props and pit instruments at both practice and competition. We also build props, repair instruments and stands, are accountable entirely, for the band's uniforms, and we assist the students in any other way we can.

Our focus is on your children. It is their program and we feel blessed to be a part of your band student's development.

Thank you in advance for your continuous support be it physical or monetarily. We welcome any volunteers and of course, extra hands. Any and all help is both needed and appreciated.
