Troy Athens Invitational 2022

On Saturday, October 1st, the Shorian Marching Band travels to Troy Athens HS to participate in their Scholastic Marching Invitational.

While Scholastic Marching Invitationals have a "competitive flavor," the purpose of our organization participating in this event is to receive feedback and grow for our big festival performance (our "super bowl"), MSBOA Marching Band Festival. When we participate in Scholastic Events, we go comments only, and use the feedback gathered from this event to perform at our highest caliber at MSBOA.

Schedule (as of 9/21)

11:30a - Call Time

11:45a - Run Through Rehearsal with instruments/marching shoes

12:15a - Get dressed in Uniforms, load bus

12:45p - Depart for Troy Athens

1:30p - Unload Buses, use restrooms, find warm up staging areas

1:50p - Visual Warm Ups @ TA

2:05p - Music Warm Ups

2:35p - Exit Warm Ups

2:40p - Band at Stadium Gate

2:45p - Performance

3:00p - Performance concluded, band loads buses to depart for LSHS

4:00p - Est. Arrival time back at LSHS

There are many amazing bands performing at this invitational - if you would like to check out with a band booster and stay to watch bands performing throughout this event, traveling home with a parent/family member staying with you at the event, you are more than welcome and encouraged to, just know that our buses are departing shortly after our performance time.
